SC Projects design and consultation services are offered free to all clients and potential clients during the planning and quotation process.
A costly extra from most companies if available, we feel that delivering a free design services gives us a unique starting point in the relationship we like to build with our customers.
Truss projects differ greatly between customers, with some only requiring us to design a fairly simple display structure for them, whilst other projects may require a specific aesthetic, or substantial loading capabilities along with custom mounts and fixture points.
A projects specific requirements will be the deciding factor in the selection of the Trussing products we advise and quote for, and the 3D Cad design system varies slightly depending on this selection, though the results presented to the customer are much the same.
Projects utilising our “off the shelf” trussing sections will normally be those of a more traditional design or simple configuration, with a full range of corner pieces, joiners, footplates and straight sections either in stock or available at short notice.
The european manufactured Truss products of Athletic / Alustage is our chosen system, both for its high quality and for its ease of availability to Stage Concepts as a main agent, allowing us to offer the very best prices and delivery times. All Alustage Truss is tested and certified to the very highest standards set by the German TÜV group and is the perfect choice for a wide number of mobile, permanent or semi-permanent events and Truss installations.
Renders for this Truss system are realised in a custom web based Truss Tool software provided by the manufacturer, which offers a fast and detailed three dimensional representation of the chosen design. A series of still shots from various angles of the rendering is then supplied to the customer along with full parts breakdown and costings. This gives an excellent and accurate representation of what the finished Truss build will look like and is a valuable tool in making sure your order is correct to your envisioned design.
For the more complex designs, the custom shapes, the one off systems tailored for that specific location or job, SC Projects will normally utilise the services of our UK based manufacturing facility.
This being the case, the design work is created at the factory using the latest version of the powerful Sketchup 3D Cad software, which allows full perspective based renderings to be created, and full 3D rotatable PDF documents allowing the customer to view the design fully without requiring specialist software.
The Truss itself is of a castellated (ridged) design and is made to measure in one of the three section styles of Straight (Ladder), Triangular (Tri) and Square (Quad). The section chosen for the project at hand will depend on the designs requirements, and this will be discussed and decided at the time of quotation.
The options available are vast, and almost every aspect of the system can be customised at manufacture to accommodate any desired bracketry or fixture points you wish to be permanently attached, along with powder coat finishing for colour and extra durability.
SC Projects / Stage Concepts already offer a fantastic and wide ranging selection of Stage Roof packages from our european manufacturers, and these will be perfectly suitable for the majority of standard applications and requirements.
However, not all applications fit under the ‘standard’ tag, and instead will need something tailored to specific space limitations, strength or aesthetic requirements or any number of other details that aren’t available from an ‘off the shelf ‘ system.
Included in our free design service and utilising the power of Sketchup design, drawings can display stress points and loading information for the structure, helping you to visualise the optimum positioning of peripheral equipment for minimum stress on the truss.
Brackets for items such as display screens and lighting equipment can be welded permanently to the structure, and of course you have the various finish options available such as a durable powder coat in any of the industry standard RAL colours.

Roof canopies and sides can be printed at manufacture with graphics and branding, and the truss structure itself can be designed and fabricated to fit specific dimensions and fixture points.
